247. Not so much guesses as a few times when I was lucky that the song was by the one artist out of the four pictured that I knew. Got 90% of them in less than a second, so I feel Afterworthy
229 for me. As it went on, I managed to guess a few before the music even started, as it was obvious which of the four they would be more likely to play, based on the stuff that went before, i.e. the ones that Esquire felt would make them look like they had a good eclectic taste!
Bottom of the class with 198, good if we were playing Pointless, less so for something more closely resembling that Ken Bruce thing. Several of the correct answers I had never even heard of, which is what happens if you don’t listen to pop radio, and my hip hop responses were all random stabbing at buttons even when I had at least heard of the acts.
Still, worth playing just to find out that there is a band who have taken one of my favourite words for their name: Psychopomps.
I scored 180 – without hearing any music. Sound is disabled on my terminal at work, so I tried to second-guess what they would pick, judging only from the array of album covers. Did pretty well where I recognised all four albums. Once I got used to the quiz setter’s frame of mind, I could see he/she went for the hipster choice pretty much every time. Ironically, I still fell down on the hip-hop cos I didn’t recognise most of the covers.
Bear in mind folks that according to the quiz the average is 158 and so the scores in the 200+ range show that we are a clever bunch…… but of course we knew that.
Yay! 232. Good one.
Hip hop my downfall too, although one or two lucky guesses.
226
Most were guesses

247 also. Two guesses only, which isn’t too shabby, and yes – the vast majority of my correct ones I got in less than a second or two 🙂
The Guessmeister got 227.
241. The one that really tripped me up was Jurassic 5, which was my final guess…
229 for me. As it went on, I managed to guess a few before the music even started, as it was obvious which of the four they would be more likely to play, based on the stuff that went before, i.e. the ones that Esquire felt would make them look like they had a good eclectic taste!
231. Clueless on the rap stuff and the hipster indie crap.
239.
230. I need to revise my Hip-Hop and Indie Studies.
235..I’m with GCU.
Bottom of the pile with 219.
Too old I guess. 😩
No, unlucky at guessing 😉
217. I am clearly crap at guessing as well!
228. Was going well but towards the end had a couple where the correct answer was the fourth one I guessed….

212 – involving some random guessing, and misplaced mouse-clicks
Hip Hop, R&B and Soul are definite areas for improvement
246. To be honest, I’m a bit gutted. I cruised through all the early rounds with full marks and then threw it away on the last one.
A mid table 233. MOBO and some of the newer “hipster indie crap” stuff had me flailing…
We would have all got away with it, if it weren’t for that hipster indie crap…
239 with a lot of guess work, matching songs to album covers.
238. And yes, felled by hipster indie crap.
238 for me too…tripped up by hippity-hop and indie schmindie.
234 – I’d have got away with it if it want for those pesky hip-hoppy kids
232 – same reason as everyone else.

247. Bit of educated guesswork in the later rounds. Some good records in there though.
237……agh, hip hop.
Likewise, on both counts
242…but I was guessing a lot of the hippety-hoppety ones….
221 – not quite bottom.
If I was Claudio Ranieri I’d be sacked.
243 seems to be about par. Yes dropped points of hip-hop like most, maybe a few points on guesses.
A shameful 222. Too much hip hop and indie crap, most of which is indistinguishable to these old ears. Wish they’d included some jazz….
Bear in mind folks that according to the quiz the average is 158 and so the scores in the 200+ range show that we are a clever bunch…… but of course we knew that.
242 – got tougher towards the end.
233. Reasonable, some guesswork there, hip-hop total darkness, new plink-plonk pop too. Not too bad, overall.
232
Some guesses based on matching likely artwork to sound.
240. Some inspired guessing, particularly on the several occasions when the artist turned out to be someone I’d never heard of
