The word “bliss” does not have 14 syllables. Fact.

I’m entirely of the same opinion too. Loved Ozzy too, but mainly (98% or so) as a solo artist and tremendous live performer in the 80s.

You are correct, Sir.

Agreed. Broken Land is as close to perfection as I think you can be. An absolute monster of a song.

Quite a sizable Hip fan here, there’s nothing like driving through the mountains in BC with them on the stereo. I’ll do that again one day soon, with a bit of luck. Was introduced somehow through Fully Completely […]

Some of my favourites above. I can add little but echo pretty much everything. A tragic loss. “In these shoes? I doubt you’d survive…” is my top lyric. Always makes me smile. Kite is a worldy of an […]

If anyone here loves Bon-era AC/DC I can heartily recommend you have a listen to Swedish band Bonafide. Their latest album “Are You listening” is an absolute belter.

No suggestions, but get well soon, Sir. On the plus side, Tramadol is a good way to lose a day or two in its own.

bobness commented on the post, Like a fine wine (or cheese) 3 months, 2 weeks ago
I first saw Jo Brand in a tent in Wollaton Park, on a triple bill in the early 90s with Hattie Hayridge (quite funny), and Lee Evans (barely a titter for the first 10 minutes, my sides ached by the end) JB was […]

I wondered if anyone would get to Steve, given the word “popular”… (Smily face thing) I’d go El Corazon or The Mountain, though. That said, there are many choices.

My favourite REM album, must be said.

Durian. What you get when you introduce a rotten onion into a bowl of custard that’s been made with rancid milk. And it smells even worse.

It is the Scott Memorial with engines, isn’t it? I’m always reminded, as we stroll through New Town. Mrs B, not so much.

bobness commented on the post, FM – Brotherhood 5 months, 1 week ago
I have a massive soft spot for FM. They supported many a “name” rock act in the later 80s, Bon Jovi’s first UK headine tour the most memorable, and they play(ed) the kind of blues-y, tuneful, thoughtful, “medium” […]

Yes, the weather couldn’t have been better on the Saturday and Sunday, but it was very wet on the Friday evening. Luckily, we went to the pub… I’ll look forward to buying you a (nearly) pint, it would be a […]

@Kaisfatdad and others. Got back yesterday lunchtime, beating the winds… Friday we went to see the Vasa, then evening at Stigberget (a bit “clubby” for us, but I guess it was Friday night) and Omnipollo, […]

Archer and Wood are 2 luxuries England can barely afford. Neither seem to be able to play a third of a given season. Archer is fine when he’s taking wickets but he was “tired”? Really? Billy was at Notts for a […]

We’re booked on the 22.44 back and we’re at staying in the Comfort Inn in the station, basically, so piece of cake. To be totally honest, I was quite impressed as to the frequency of the trains, and all seem […]
