You could (and people have – search for Anthology Plus, Anthology More, Outtakes) easily do Anthology from different angle with different takes, different mixes and live selections.
I love things like this. My favourite part of the Pink Floyd exhibition was getting a chance to play with the multitracks of Money. If only someone would reduce Classic Albums and The Record Producers down to these bits or , better still, create some hands-on event where we could all dig into this stuff. Maybe it’s the final frontier of reissues. Give us the multitracks!
I have seen these before, but isn’t it wonderful when they do this? It brings out the fan in them. So many interviews with musicians aren’t actually about the music at all, but put them in front of the multitracks and it comes alive. I can’t find the clip on You Tube, but I’m thinking of the one George Martin was with Paul, George and Ringo discussing Tomorrow Never Knows..? .
Marvellous – thanks!
Wow, that last remark. Stellar stuff.
Lovely. The look on George Martin’s face when he hears it is charming.
It’s from the extras on the Living in The Material World DVD, no? But it IS lovely. Would’ve liked more of Dhani, George and Giles listening to stuff.
This is equally joyous – George under all the cynicism towards his Beatles past can’t help but be nostalgic and warm towards his old friends
This is great. Thank you! Just goes to show there IS still stuff in the Beatle vaults. We’re not at the bottom of the barrel quite yet.
Anthology volume 4 anyone?

Amen to that.
Thank you H.P.W., it really was wonderful.
Nice to have the original HP posting.
