Surprised that no-one has mentioned The Magnetic Fields’ song “Papa was a rodeo.” But there we are.

What a lovely poem. I think I get a sense of the man. And perhaps of the daughter too.

Tom Lehrer put all of his songs into the public domain a few years ago. Along with a website to download them from: https://tomlehrersongs.com I loved his work and he seemed to be a genuinely decent guy.

I’m in. The whole Celtic Music thing makes no sense to me at all and it’s a shame that it needs to be resolved through expensive legal action. But here we are.
