Not a post on a wee book of autographs, though I do have some of those – another time maybe. This is about an autographed LP that I picked up at the weekend that must be some kind of (world?) record. It looks pretty simple on the front, 5 Maori lads jumping in the air in some ceremonial fashion but when it’s flipped over, the back has 36 autographs on it, way more than several signed albums by various groups that I have in my collection. The telling thing is the pic of the group on the back of this sleeve that shows 36 men & women posing like a sports team photo, so I assume the previous owner carefully managed to persuade each and every member of the erm, squad, to sign the back.
Is this some kind of record, for a record sleeve, I lay down the gauntlet and ask all signed album owners to show me their collected examples, surely 36 signatures cannot be beaten?!

Judging from the front cover, they’ve just received their A level results.

Now if only the Beatles had done the HELP cover that way.

There are only 10 members of the Nolan Family on this album but I do have several signed copies. Is that a record?

you need 4 copies of that to win Beany!
Saw an autographed Lou Reed album for sale at my best local store this weekend. Street Hassle $425 (about 250 quid).
I’m imagining a similar situation with The Polyphonic Spree signing an LP, although they were probably too pale, wan and twee to lift a marker pen.
Only 22 members in the Polyphonic Spree (I googled it, lol)
I have a The Fall greatest hits album and the autographs are on two rolls of wallpaper.
Ditto: The Blue Aeroplanes and Dexys.
