Rejoice. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will be touring the UK in October.
As a HUGE bonus, support is being provided by Tift Merritt (see my recent review in Nights Out for confirmation of her excellence).
Dates so far confirmed:
Wednesday 25th October Manchester Albert Hall
Thursday 26th October Glasgow O2 ABC
Sunday 29th October Brighton Dome
Monday 30th October London Roundhouse
Tuesday 31st October Birmingham Symphony Hall
Given that Friday and Saturday 27th and 28th are still free, I’d expect a couple more to be added

Ticket prices seem to be reasonably priced at under £25.
They go on sale this Friday, 17th February.
Yay! Brighton on a Sunday! Thanks Carl.
Yay, klaxon meister, thanks for klaxing up the klaxon. It is refreshing so many of us are willing to klax-alert us who would otherwise be un-klaxoned and remain in aklaxonomy.
That aside, I shall look out for this show!!
Symphony hall shows just how big his appeal now is, with dear old Lucinda relegated to Town hall her last trip to these parts.
My heart leaps with joy, safe in the knowledge that you are aware of the danger, young Retro. There are forces afoot in the land looking to silence our klaxons, to cast them to the deepest depths of Mordor. To hurl us into, dare I repeat the word you uttered ??? (whisper it, whisper it softly) aklaxonomy.
My dear old mother in law (a wonderful woman) may well be getting a visit in Brighton in late October…
I agree with you. Jason is clearly quite a draw these days.
He and Tift are also playing Stockholm in October at the ratherr large Munchenbryggeriet.
Seen him once at Roskilde and he is a great live performer.
I was being narrow in my focus there, forgetting contributors come from outside the UK.
Any future klaxons will include European dates if they are available.
Tempted! But how I wish it was an Edinburgh at the weekend klaxon, rather than a Glasgow on a school night klaxon.
Klaxon much appreciated.
He is playing in the Olympia(best venue in Dublin) Oct 27th. Tickets on sale on Friday.
The Boptist is bopping.
Yippee.
In the diary. Thank you kind sir.
Thanks for the heads up Carl….I will be trying for Brum tickets first thing this Friday
Keep the klaxons coming!
8 months in advance? Amazing!
Does anyone know if there are any presale and code for the UK gigs?
The US presale code came through yesterday.
Cheers.
I got an email from Spotify this morning and access to a presale, not sure if that helps but general admission Manchester tickets have been purchased
Thanks NE1…I checked the Spotty presale and the tickets they were offering were not that good. So I waited until general sale and secured front row in Birmingham. Looking forward to it! Thanks again for the heads up.
Tickets for Brighton booked although The Dome website timed me out and then appears to be log jammed so I had to buy via Ents 24.
Crap. Having posted the alert, I forgot to set up an alert to log-in for 10.
Remembered about 10:30 and managed to get two of the remaining five seats at The Roundhouse.(my wife insists on sitting) and they are hardly prime position.
Still we’re in.
Straight into the Dome site, two centre circle tickets. Now who’s going to tell Mrs W? (Last time we went there she fell asleep for most of Jackson Browne….)
Stupid conference call set up for 10 this morning. But a bit of multitasking secured me 2 for Glasgow. Now, what was that call about?
I got 6 for Manchester which is a standing venue. I went to a load of gigs last year and Isbell & Band’s show at Manchester Ritz was my #1. It’s fantastic that he keeps the ticket prices down
