Many venues are not geared up for a leave and return protocol; Hare & Hounds and Kitchen Garden Cafe in Brum, for two. Most performers explain that they will be playing their last song and then the encore, if […]

I have now invested, and jolly good it is too, if, yes, a track or two too long. I think 10 tracks is about right for any self-respecting disc.

Late to the party, @fitterstoke; it looks a good festy. I have quite a few Manx folkies on my radar, including Ms. Callister.

You’ll maybe remember my first wife, then, a couple of years below the striking head girl of the school they each attended. ( I have asked her whether she could remember any handsome Aberdonians, but, oddly, she […]

So that was June was it? Gone in a blur. What happened, then? Well, eventually got away for a week, up to the borders, and Ancrum. Gorgeous part of Scotland and near unpopulated by other than sheep and cattle. […]

16p a pint in 1975. Mind you, that was the student bar, and Young’s Ordinary. At the Royal George, down the road, Ruddles County was an eye-watering 30p.
