As much as I hate the Daily Mail, I have to confess to occasionally reading the sport section.
I caught up with Matt Lawton’s take down of British cycling (via a recommendation from David Walsh) as well as Paul Hayward’s in the Telegraph.
Lots of unanswered question in what is a prestige sport in the UK; I wonder if we will hold our own athletes to the same standards as we have held others?

No one comes out of it well, but Brailsford looks like the proverbial rabbit in the headlights. I thought that, for once, the M.P’s did well yesterday. Once it was revealed what was in the package, the incredulity was palpable. Why the months and months of secrecy, and the expense of a personally couriered package, for something that ‘could have been bought, over the counter at the local pharmacy, for eight euros’?
Now that David Walsh and Matt Lawton are on the case, I suspect that Sir Dave’s days are numbered, whatever the outcome. He has mismanaged the PR side of this terribly.

I expect that a lot of people are enjoying the sight of the hubristic Mr Brailsford squirming a bit.

I bet Alan Baxter (slalom skier) had chosen to fly a nasal spray out rather than buy locally in USA as it cost him his Winter Olympics bronze medal.
