I copied and pasted the link into my browser. It’s an amusing cartoon, but slightly shaming to those who can identify all the prog rock albums being pastiched.
Love Beach came out in the days when I would try hard to find reasons to enjoy new albums by artists I liked. I listened to it far too often. There is nothing good about it.
By way of contrast, I do not own and have only listened to some bits of Calling All Stations. You don’t need to hear the whole thing to know it’s rubbish.
Thankyou for asking and answering this question, as these were the two I too couldn’t identify.
I’ve got four of them, though The Moodies will be subsumed within a boxset, and I only have Calling All Stations as I doubt I could offload it on any one. Larks Tongues and Close to the Edge are still ace.
The cartoon is very witty and I confess very happily to owning both Stand Up and Close to the Edge.
But I have a slight problem about the fact that in order to look at the cartoon I am forced to watch an ad featuring a pretty young woman shaking her bosom rather vigorously.
Talk about exploitation. Some evil genius has realised that the combination of the likes Van der Graaf Generator with an attractive young woman from 2025 will hit the spot for chaps of a certain age.
‘They want me to press a button to express my enthusiasm my enthusiasm for that lovely, young lass.
Move on, nothing to see.
Doesn’t work and edit doesn’t allow delete,bloody bloody barskets…….
What was it?

Thanks for that Steve. I was just about to do the same but saw the Prog Health Warning.
I can identify them all – and I own five out of a possible eight!
No shame…

I can identify numbers 2 to 7, but what are numbers 1 and 8 (i.e. “The Best to Ignore Debut Album” and “The New Millennia Return to Form”)?
Number eight is definitely Present by Van der Graaf Generator.
Number one is the Moody Blues debut (which I think was called The Magnificent Moodies).

Thanks, Mr stoke. I wouldn’t have got those.
This was indeed fun.

I am not going to press that button.
I KNOW WHAT I LIKE AND I LIKE WHAT I KNOW….
Thanks to your comment KFD I went back into it to see if I had a similar experience – just so I could empathise with your outrage, of course. Nothing.
