The current print issue of “Electronic Sound” (issue 23) has a 6-page feature/interview with John Foxx and also a 12-track coverdisc of his music.
Also in that issue are features on Sigue Sigue Sputnik, New Order, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Hannah Peel, Max Richter, Colourbox and Cult Film Soundtracks.

Hoorah! I write for Electronic Sound, but I didn’t do any of those bits so I think I can say without fear of accusation that the cult film soundtracks feature in particular is the absolute nuts.
It’s written by Spencer Hickman of Death Waltz, so yes of course ‘Blade Runner’, ‘The Fog’ and ‘Suspiria’ but also ‘Sorcerer’, ‘Absurd’, ‘Nude For Satan’ and plenty more to tease out your inner synthploitation fan. It’s the kind of feature that makes you want to collect the set.

I’m very impressed with the magazine so far. Very well -presented with interesting articles and great cover discs so far.
I took a punt on subscribing for a year and it looks like money well spent.

Excellent, big John Foxx fan here and I’m really liking the print version of Electronic Sound – beautifully designed, really stylish and luxurious, really good to have a magazine that deviates from the well worn path of the mainstream inkies – and really nice that you can just pop down your local WHSmith and grab a copy. I’m not a big fan of covermount CDs but the ES ones have been keepers so far too. Hooray!

First thing I have purchased is the Phillipe Besombes boxset that got a rave review
