Anything that has Streets of your Town on it gets my vote!
Not my kind of music but that’s obviously a labour of love. I’ll probably give it a blast and see if I’m converted.
Correction. This is largely my kind of music. I thought I was commenting on Niall’s thread. I may well give this one a blast later. Thanks.
Very underrated year for music, is 1988. I’ll definitely be giving this a go!
thanks for your kind words folks, this one is not quite as cheeky as previous years I’ve done but am sure it’ll tap some toes.
1988: the year indie-pop got weirder, and I had a good time.
Cool list. Personally, I would add AR Kane “Suicide Kiss”; MBV, “Feed Me With Your Kiss”; Dinosaur Jr, “Freak Scene”; House of Love, “Destroy the Heart”; 808 State, “Let Yourself Go” and Thin White Rope, “Red Sun.”
Thin White Rope! What a great band! I still play them regularly…
Yeah, they are great. I think the lead singer chucked it all in to become an academic of some kind, but I cannot be bothered to look it up right now.
