So much good music about at the moment that I am enjoying listening too.

This is a collection of songs that I have listened to recently and have enjoyed. Some entries are very new songs others are a little older and there is a mixture of genres.

I hope to do many more of these so come and gather around the listening post and I hope you find something that you like or that I introduce you to a new band or song.

Following on from my Wine Drinking and Whisky Drinking mixes here is the first volume with the general them of drinking! I almost have Volume 2 ready for mixing and I am sure you can all think of many more songs to add.

I decided to try and start something from an idea I had. This is a new show which I will try to publish weekly but, due to work commitments, it may come bi-weekly.

The format is as follows:

Old – 3 tracks relating to a particular artist album, genre or theme with all the tracks at least 20 years old New – 3 tracks from an album issued within the last 12 months Borrowed – 3 cover songs Blue – 3 Blues tracks

In this 1st show we look at the following:

Old – Walt Aldridge – Songwriter New – Hannah Aldridge – 2014 album Razor Wire Borrowed – A mixture of cover songs Blue – 3 tracks from Otis Taylor.

Here is the second of my Listening Post mixes, I hope you find something new and of interest to you.

This started out on being a 1 hour mix but I got a bit carried away and it ended up at 2.5 hours. I am sure you can all think of lots more wine drinking songs and feel free to add these in the comments. I tried to get in a variety of genres so hope that works well. Afterworders, I am sure you cannot resist – feel free to add Youtube links etc to any additions on here
