Those Corporate behmoths of Walkers (the Crisp people) are running a campaign to find out what ex-flavour of Crisps the great unwashed want to bring back into circulation.
This seems to be a bit of a pointless escapade, as there can only be ONE winner.
The answer is Beef and Onion
The greatest flavour of thinly cut fried potato ever
All was well in the world, and then Walkers started to get all aspirational and posh, and replaced them with STEAK & Onion (the fools).
Oh, and there is £100k up for grab in the Prize Draw that goes with it
Note: I don’t work for Walkers (but Mrs D does)
(What do you mean this stuff is not important?)
Tomato Sauce flavour please. Or was that not Walkers?
A couple of years back they did a load of ridiculous flavour combos for a few weeks. They must have good industrial chemists in a room somewhere, goggle-eyed on strong drugs. Is Mrs Digit perhaps one of these maniacs?
She has been described as a maniac, but not of the Chemistry kind.
She’s just a pen-pushing Payroll maniac.
Step daughter is at Universtity doing Bio-Chemisrty – probably got an eye on the Walkers Flavour Lab.
Cheese & Crystal Meth may be a popular seller
Got to agree it’s beef and onion – a massive hole in the Walkers range – why did they ever drop it?
Beef and Onions is the right answer.
On a similar note, Its time for Ben & Jerry’s to bring back their Dave Matthews Magic Brownies flavour ice cream – raspberry ice cream swirls and fudge brownies……
Hmmm. As regards Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream flavours, I just wish I liked “Cherry Garcia” more than I actually do.
Sweat and nail clippings? Kumquat and bromide?
Following a pub conversation about the lack of crisp flavours aimed at the canine market, I decided this needed addressing: https://flickr.com/photos/130708126@N08/sets/72157655403184433
I shall submit them via my “contacts” at the Crisp Factory.
Only one missing – Gusset of Dirty Knickers

oh, and I’ll be Nik-ing (geddit?) and plastering it all over you Facebook
The original Golden Wonder cheese and onion flavour. I’m talking 1970s here, the brilliantly acrid lumps of congealing product that would occasionally turn up in a packet, not the anodyne legal highs of nowadays.
And the packets were proper green… why did Walkers swap them for blue (salt n vinegar)?
This is a BIG bone of contention.
Ready Salted = Navy Blue (not Red)
Salt & Vinegar = Light Blue (not Green)
Cheese & Onion = Green (not Blue)
Just what were they thinking? There are rules. These rules must be complied with. Or the Universe may very well explode.
On the plus side, at least Prawn Cocktail remain in a pink bag, and Roast Chicken in Orange. Likewise, the bags for Wotsits and Quavers remain correct
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
All of you.
Beef and onion? Well I suppose that could come further down the line, but there is only one flavour that urgently needs bringing back.
I refer, of course, to Savoury Vinegar. I experience a Proustian rush at the very thought, though I have not tasted any since the early Eighties.
It was only recently that I realised that Walkers are part of Lays – even though the logo is virtually identical. Bit slow on the uptake sometimes. Anyway never mind crisps where are the updates on Chocolate Bars? I want the Aztec back now!!
They should totally bring out a Game Of Thrones tie-in crisp and call them White Walkers.
