The latest Mojo has Pulp on the cover, with a Pulp CD attached.
While I am not in the market for this particular issue, a few years ago I did say that I couldn’t understand why the magazines didn’t have artist-specific CDs and since then, well… there’s no getting away from this… they are doing it more and more.
The problem with artist-specific cover CDs is an obvious one. People who dislike that artist won’t buy the mag, so you’re taking more of a gamble than with themed or generalised CDs.
I have a definite soft spot for Pulp and like that song, but it’s not up there with Different Class’s tunes, is it?
I await the album’s release with interest.
So the album came out yesterday. Anyone who has ever had the slightest soft spot for Pulp at any time in their lives should listen. I think they’ve pulled off one of the genuinely great comebacks.
Indeed, it is a fine album – initial fear was “Spike Island plus 10 other OK tracks”. Pleased to report that Spike Island is one of many great tracks on More
I’ve just belatedly been listening to the new album ‘More’ over this last week and it made a late entry into my best of ‘25 list (probably should have been much higher up).
Wow this is really top notch stuff – didn’t realise Jarvis still had it in him; every song is meticulously written and performed and I’d say they’ve never sounded better (Different Class included). Give yourselves a pat on the back Jarvis and Co.
Hurrah!
Song and video both great and very arch… an unexpected boost for 2025!
Love the song!
All in here. Never made a bad album after 1987
Top tune.
I can see that one will grow with repeated listens.
Welcome back Pulp.

What took them so long? Obvious, wasn’t it?

And rumours that they are the mysterious ‘Patchwork’ band that are appearing at Glastonbury.
