Heard about this in an e-mail from Spin (Newcastle online record store recommended in the last place), anyone have any idea if it’s any good? An internet search didn’t turn up any reviews.
It’s described as “Limited 2 CD”, release date 27th April. “This two disc set features Rory along with longtime bassist Gerry McAvoy and drummer Ted McKenna and is culled from dates in September 1979”.

Live Rory is pretty reliable but at that stage he was a bit heavy boogie. Not my favourite period. He was never bad, but maybe a bit bombastic.

The previous reissue, Irish Tour 74 had dodgy packaging and the extra discs had some average sound quality. Perhaps a 2cd reissue isn’t such a concern but still worth checking the reviews before investing.

in general though, IrishTour is gold from end to end. I don’t have the reissue though – I have a fairly old CD set and the vinyl which is played to death!
