That hit the spot! Jumping around the living room – then I hurt myself and had to have a wee lie down.
Good luck for the mini-tour, man.
Max the Dog says
Very good!

Depends how things go I may be able to make Manchester.

Will you be sick and dirty, more dead than alive?
Mike_H says
As usual.

That’s a fine tune. Please tell Big Paul that Wee Ted sends his regards (Tess’s birthday party).

Hey el Hombre. Can I just check- Is the Sunday 30th gig in Nottingham or Northampton? The Black Prince in Northampton is a music venue, so it’s distinctly possible (and considerably nearer to where I live).
el hombre malo says
my mistake – it IS NORTHAMPTON
pawsforthought says
Great, I’ll be there! Don’t get to go to the Black Prince much any more.
el hombre malo says
magnifique!
fentonsteve says
Northampton is an hour’s drive away from me, so I could in theory make that. Mrs F has a black-tie works do at the Fitzwilliam Museum around then, let me align calendars.
el hombre malo says
fab!

MANCHESTER UPDATE – the Talleyrand has cancelled all their gigs, so our gig there is off, too. We will still be playing Preston Goes Pop – I will update here once I know stage times
hubert rawlinson says
Curses I’d have been over in Manchester that day as I hope to go on holiday with my son the next day.
Very sorry you won’t be there.
el hombre malo says
we are, too – but so many small venues are teetering on the edge, and they cancelled on us. We are better off than our friends The Kidney Flowers who are currently on tour in an estate car, and the Talleyrand was one of the better-paying gigs on their tour – cancelled.
“Off you fuck”.
el hombre malo says
Update – Preston gig now cancelled – it was a multi band event and the promoter has not sold enough tickets.
Leith Depot is still on.
Black Prince in Northampton is still on, but if any of you are thinking of coming, please buy your ticket in advance if you can, so that the promoter has the comfort that not all of our fans are the kind of bohemians who roll up on the night.
For the London gig, Stewart Lee will be opening with a set of new material.
His blurb runs – “Now entering their fifth decade, and a dozen albums down, Glasgow’s gutterbilly veterans lay widescreen Americana and free jazz flavoured freak-outs over a durable garage punk template. Immortal and imperious at last, now The Primevals really are what they once merely dreamed of being.”
Hope to catch up with some of you at one or other of the gigs!
pawsforthought says
Tickets purchased, see you in the Famp!
