I love songs where cultures collide, resulting in something unexpected or fun or new or even weird. This is the Cambodian Space Project’s take on Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra’s Summer Wine. The video is not up to scratch but the song is great. Any more suggestions?

Here’s another one – Bollywood’s version of The Shadows and the Twist. Both the song and video clip from the movie Gumnaam are excellent.

He did the Munster Mash.
Very good.
My new favourite mash up maestro is Bill McClintock. He must have had so much fun doing these.
Electric Sex Machine
Spiceknot
DJ Cummerbund is always fun too. If you haven’t seen it, Sledgehammer as hell is superb.
Or try BlitzMMMMBop
Another vote for Bill McClintock from me.
Call Me A Hole – Carly Rae Jepsen vs NIN
Killing Kids – MGTM vs Echo & The Bunnymen
Intergalactic Rock – Daft Punk vs Beastie Boys
And the all time undisputed champ, Biggie Smalls vs Thomas
I was introduced to Rave DJ by the Afterword and that was a deep rabbit hole. Who knew Ian McNabb and Taylor Swift had so much in common?

The Kleptones make deliciously catchy mash-ups from familiar sources
A golden oldie mashup.
A staple of my DJ sets: Passenger Fever.
Every one great! A couple more here, although they pale in comparison with the choices above. The first is Holger Czukay’s foray into world music, having left the heavy bass riffing of Can and discovering Iranian radio.
The second is from former Captain Beefheart guitarist Gary Lucas, who plays along to a Chinese tune from the 1940s/’50s.
Those two were far gentler but very enjoyable none the less, Munster.
This is always worth an outing.
Wonderful to see some Go Home Production stuff. That Wouldn’t it be nice is brilliant. I saw GHP aka Mark Vidler once, as the very final act at Roskilde.
The party was almost over but nobody wanted to go home. Very bittersweet, And GHP were magnificent.
Time for a Sleazy Egyptian!
My favourite…Eminem Ragtime style.
Would the real Winifred Atwell please stand up?
Never heard of this masher before but this is great fun….
A live mashup for you.
Now, that is witty, @Mike_H! Love the dog too.
Let’s have another live mash up (I think it used to be known as a medley!) from the splendid Pomplamoose.
Taylor Swift x The Mighty Mighty Bosstones is, frankly, spectacular
I also had an email from Bandcamp on Friday drawing attention to … I’ll let them do the talking
The reference I hear but that review doesn’t mention is the Blade Runner soundtrack – some of these tracks, especially Celeste Aida, could fit right in there. Does Bandcamp embed here?

I always thought the Pearl and Dean theme would be a good mash up with Whole Lotta Love
I’m fairly sure there was one.
I’ve thought about it overnight. I think you’re right. Lovebug or something?
Found it! Goldbug.
Blur vs Steptoe & Son.
