Good, thanks! Had a fab, fit year filled with lots of sporty stuff (and my first ever couple of games of rugby, which were thrilling (for me, not necessarily the spectators). However, I finished 2017 off with a […]

That.
(And I only noticed the missing face after the time limit for editing was up. It’s really bugging me now).

No apologies needed, @nogbad – I agree with every word of that.

Yeah, the Fried LP cover boggled her mind. I told her Julian was just playing a game of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

She was very impressed to find that we have got quite a high percentage of the tracks on vinyl. It’s rare that she finds her parents’ musical tastes anything even approaching impressive.

She’s flying in the fashion now,
Seems to have a will of her own.
I’ve always liked Sir Julian Of Cope’s World Shut Your Mouth. It’s a meat and potatoes stomper, but a hell of a catchy one. I remember watchin […] -

Loved every minute of this gig. The Unthanks sisters have this ability to make me beam from ear to ear even when they’re singing about children/maidens/cows/refugees being mistreated/beaten/lost/killed (which is […]

I may be wrong, but I think the ‘melon-farmer’ substitution first arose in a TV edit of one of the Die Hard films. Although the best ‘clean’ dubbed line from that series is obviously this one:

The ultimate Rick-Rolling, as the Never Gonna Give You Up Hitmaker joins The Foo Fighters on stage at the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan. Whether you like Mr Grohl’s music or not, you have to say his band always […]

That’s beautifully descriptive, Locust. What’s Swedish for evocative?

The first house Mr Drakeygirl and I bought sounds remarkably like your flat, Chiz. It was a Victorian semi tucked in between some flats and a factory at the dodgier end of a nice little town, and like you we had […]

I think the casting of Jodie Whittaker is an excellent choice. If I was an eight-year-old Doctor Who fan, I would be jumping up and down with excitement, seeing that a girl like me could be the cool hero, instead […]

I’m really impressed with the new one, @gatz, as you can probably tell from my review. I think it should be up your street, through your front door, and straight onto your stereo.
