I’ve previously written off Deep House as a genre – and Half Man Half Biscuit’s ‘Deep House Victims Mini-bus Appeal’ confirmed my prejudices. I’ve since changed my opinion, here’s a couple of absolute corkers – it’s dance music but has dreamy, spacey arrangements and jazzy chord progressions and dubbed-up basslines so what’s not to like?. I’m very new to this stuff and eager to hear new tunes – any House music nuts in The Massive – speak up and share your recommendations.

Hands up (in the air like you just don’t care…) – I know very little about deep house except that I have these two belters somewhere in the garage.
Suspect this may have been the track that kicked off the whole thing – spiritual!
And this is one of my all time favourite tunes – soulful gospelly – might not be deep house at all…

If it is helpful I like the ones you have put up, but, like many here, i suspect, I get lost in the name of the genres…… House, Techno, Trance, Psy-Ambient, Dubstep etc etc. I’m afraid it is all Electronica/Dance to me. I get lost in the sub-stations.

I’ve drifted away from the dreamier / spacer end of things over the years, so I’m no expert, but this might fit the bill

This mix by David August is definitely at the deep/jazzy/cosmic end of the house spectrum:
Worth exploring the DJ Kicks series for similar. Off the top of my head, both John Talabot’s and Will Saul’s are excellent.
