While I get frightened for my own future when I watch tape of Biden (and Trump) speaking twenty years ago and see the difference, what you’re looking at there is not so much “freezing” as exactly the sort of thing you see eighty year olds routinely do when they arrive at the top of an escalator..
First offence, he didn’t do anything bad with the gun. Probably no jail time.
If he doesn’t get jail, Republicans will say his dad got him a light sentence. If he does do time, they’ll say like son, like father. Either way they’ll capitalise on it, or try to.
But then if it was some black or hispanic kid from the projects, he’d have been banged up for the full 25, months ago. Assuming he didn’t get shot while being arrested.

I have been following this via Faux News and they have been hyper ventilating pushing the narrative of a friendly location (probably true) and a jury picked from hard core democrats predisposed to find not guilty or hung jury.
They want to paint a picture of the way the justice system treated their man vs a Biden. Two tier system of justice. Persecution of the Orange one etc.
I am convinced this is their worst possible verdict (although they will still spin it). I truly believe they really wanted him to be found not guilty, gnash and wail and fuel their conspiratorial narrative.
I also hope that the Bidens accept with grace (from what I have seen so far a yes). JB sticks to his word and not pardon and (perhaps more likely) doesn’t commute the sentence (Trump playbook).
I feel their best ploy is to take the moral high ground (although he’s clearly not my son facing chokey).

Trump’s Las Vegas rally was very unhinged, even by his standards. In among the ramblings, he said “I don’t care about you – I just want your vote”.
Isn’t it more Trump’s meta ‘I am treating this politics as a bit of a joke and you are in on the joke with me (against the elite/swamp)”?
