Another bulletin from ‘WTF is wrong with people?’. Dillon and another woman were randomly shot by some idiots with some sort of pellet gun in broad daylight in Frome. Sounds like she had a very lucky escape – she was hit in the face and eye. Dreadful.

More positively this gives me an opportunity to say how much I am enjoying her new album ‘Coming Home’ I hadn’t checked it out initially because I’d read that it is a series of self penned poems recited by Dillon and that didn’t sound like a good listen. But actually, much of the writing is terrific, that lovely Dungiven voice reciting the poems is easy on the ears, the musical accompaniments are well done, and on most tracks she breaks into song about half way through to great effect. It’s gorgeous stuff.
