Recently I did a big update to my iPhone 15 to version to 26.1
Since then I have had no end of trouble posting a thread or commenting on the threads of others. I can’t post a screenshot of what happens and if I could you lot can’t use imgur.
Ok So I click on the relevant panel to commence typing. As soon as I do that a new panel drops down concealing whatever it is I am typing. This shows a blank patch an up cursor and a down cursor and to the other side a tick. Below that is a QWERTY board.
When I type I can’t see what I am typing. However, if I click on tick it shows me what I have typed and I can press submit.
Given my reputation for typos as it is, this makes the process rather thwart.
The cursors on the other side don’t appear to do anything.
Doesn’t happen on any other site.
I will see if Thep can post the image I am trying to describe.

Ok at the suggestion of Mr P I am using Chrome rather than Safari on the very same iPhone and it is all tickety boo.
This is all very odd.
Here you go.

Thanks Mike. Fuckin odd
I once had the same problem – using my renowned techie skills it only took me a day of searching through settings, pressing many buttons and lots of swearing to sort it all out .
Can I remember how I did it – hello, is it me you’re looking for?
You just turned it off and turned it back on again…
Far more complicated than just a reboot. It took a precise knowledge of the inner workings of the operating system, debugging the central root chamber and bypassing the antebellum archways (as well as pressing buttons furiously whilst shouting “Bloody stupid phone!”)
I tried that. Multiple times. Just in case the first, second and third power resets didn’t get the message.
Hi, unfortunately we can’t replicate this problem on an iPhone here at Mod Towers. Posting as you’re trying to brings up the keyboard no problem even using Safari on the phone.
Suggest you just continue to use Chrome. Whilst the site does in theory “optimise “for use on a phone, these transitions are not always perfect
Thanks
Yes , thanks. Is your iPhone on the same version?
Yes, 26.1
I am not well informed I am afraid, but I find Safari pretty unreliable with a host of platforms: in fact, I have to regularly use Chrome instead.
