CHOOOON!
I love Del Amitri, and you are correct, in that lyrically this is close to their pinnacle. See also Driving With The Brakes On, surely the most beautiful song about birth control ever written.
Ah yes. Twisted was the soundtrack of my life the year after I left home. Here & Now, Tell Her This, One Thing Left To Do etc were never off the stereo on late drunken Belfast nights.
Listening to it now, it sounds as fresh as ever. They were (and are) utterly brilliant. Makes me quite emotional.
Next year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the release of “Waking Hours”. There is talk on the Dels Facebook page of a tour potentially playing the album in it’s entirety.
Last year the same Facebook page put together a charity covers album “Pasted Beyond Recognition” which was staggering in its quality. Look it up to hear some familiar songs given a new lease of life

Can’t forget the most melancholy football ‘rallying cry’ ever. Love, love, love it!
