Fair play to him – a nice gesture. Mind you, you’ll need some form of financial assistance to afford a single malt at The Briton’s Protection!
I still remember fondly the time we went in to the Briton’s for a pint only to discover them handing out free samples of an Irish Whiskey as it was St Patrick’s night. Well, when I say ‘I remember’, that’s true for the early part of the evening. Later on, not so much.
…..and a packet of Golden Wonder?
Will he be buying Dave Gahan a pint? It’s his 60th too.
Forget all about equality… Let’s play landlord and pisshead
Saw an interview not that long ago where Paul Heaton mentioned one of the inspirations for “Happy Hour” was a pub not too far from where I’m sat (well, it’s a curry house now, but the building is still there).
Back to the OP, I thought this was a lovely idea – and I reckon you’ve posted the best BS tune too.
