I was watching this again with my kids the other day and I noticed (at 6.48) that the guy shovelling pigeon shit into his bucket while suspended in his boson’s chair is also smoking a fag! Now that is multitasking, 70s style.

As a child, it was always a name that stood out for me in the end credits, unusual and slightly mysterious. I had no idea who he or she was, but the name sounded significant in a British BBC kind of way, and in my […]

Similar thing happened to me on a Ryanair flight when I had the audacity to move a guy’s leather jacket that was taking up the only remaining overhead locker space for my carry-on. I moved his jacket – under the […]

Actually, the website that @davebigpicture linked to above, has something not too far off what I’m thinking about. Tempted.

This tatty looking think was once an outback style hat from the Henschel Hat Company. But it’s given me twenty five years of sterling service under some ferocious Spanish sun. Whether I’m heading down bramble […]

Thanks @hubert-rawlinson That is a lovely looking hat, but I don’t think the price would fit comfortably on my head. I did come across an excellent vintage clothing store somewhere near the Empire State […]

Always been envious of the exceptional range of hats Dylan sported in Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. Those difficult to find shapes that lie somewhere between a top hat and a stetson. Been looking here and there for […]

Most excellent. The instrumentation and sound put me in mind of Ommadawn era Mike Oldfield.

Fascinating. Looks like a mash up between a sparrowhawk, a cuckoo and a cockatiel.

Has it ever been revealed what this curious feeling was? I wonder if it was humility or empathy.

The five track 81-82 EP was an old favourite that was sadly stolen at the aforementioned frisbee party. That EP contained superb 12″ versions of Everything’s Gone Green and Temptation. But those early 12″ tracks […]

I’ve never really warmed to the New Order remixes, and I consider myself a moderate fan of their 80s/early 90s work. I still have those fancy Factory tape boxes of Lowlife and Brotherhood. Years ago they were used […]
