Amyl and the Sniffers. Hard rockin band with a pocket rocket out front. Growing success internationally and supporting Acca Dacca on current tour. A free concert in the City Square was cancelled 40 mins before they played. “Authorities” concerned about fences being pushed over. Clearly under resourced security.
Crown and band mightily pissed off.
So to compensate they put $5k at the bar at various city music pubs.
Never liked the band but I like that.

They are a band that seem hugely popular over here, amongst the ageing denizens of crusty town. Festivals and gigs that feature the ragtag collective of old punk bands and rowdy Celtic fumed bombast, like Bearded Theory, tend to proudly put them on.
Speaking as a feminist, I can see the appeal, and they do seem to have the right visual accent for the more broad-mind male rock fan.
