Jim Cain commented on the post, "Singer in band likes sex with groupies shock horror" 1 year, 7 months ago
Now you may very well consider me a card-carrying member of the wokerati, but I think a 24 year old woman should be able to take the opportunity to meet a favourite artist without the expectation that she will […]

Thought I’d give an update as planned. Still depressed, to the extent that I only really do stuff that I absolutely have to do, like go to work (need the money, too scared to stay off sick) and look after my kids […]

Anyone else noticed the media focus shifting to ‘Benefit Scroungers’ again over the last couple of weeks? Divide & conquer tactics again. Sad thing is, it works every time.

Is there anything to be said for playing another Royal Blood set?

Here is a clip of their set. Two observations: 1) They’re pretty meh, and their ‘sound’ doesn’t suit that environment 2) There are plenty of people into it, so play to them and ignore the apathetic

As suggested above, I think there might be an element of ‘publicity stunt’ here. Their stock seemed to have fallen in recent years, but now Royal Blood are trending again. No such thing as bad publicity etc

Eagle-eyed views will also spot several Peep Show references thrown in by Armstrong. The first I noticed was one of the investigators into the cruise ship thing was called Stefan Strauss.

Jim Cain commented on the post, Succession – phew, what about that, eh? 1 year, 7 months ago
I loved it. A quick tangent on the nature of ‘spoilers’. I find it frustrating that we can’t talk about the ending. While I think reasonable consideration must be made to those who have yet to see the […]

I love this clip. Particularly when Marr puts his guitar down and just starts getting down to the funky bassline with Moz.

Last year’s album was a personal highlight of 2022. Such a shame that Isaac left, but equally heart-warming to see the rest of the band’s reaction to it.

This is the year I started buying music. Had six of these records. I remember getting Grand Prix from that Universal Music Club or whatever it was called. Heady days!

Not quite the same, but I avoided Sam Fender for ages, having assume he was just another dull singer-songwriter in the Ezra, Capaldi, Tom Walker mould. He’s actually very good.
