A new Steven Wilson set of remixes coming soon, featuring extracts from their first three albums, in so far as the original tapes could be located.

Musings on the byways of popular culture
This is good news, as is the news of his forthcoming remix of XTC’s “Black Sea”. Since the masters are only available for a couple of tracks on each of those first three albums, this is a welcome approach, rather than having to shell out all over again for mixes we mostly already have. The blu-ray disc’s contents sound attractive, too.
Mind you, in both cases there’s frustration that the most-wished-for remixes are not yet possible, due to untraceable master tapes. XTC’s “English Settlement” and the Giant’s “In A Glass House” and “Free Hand” would be wonderful to hear in SW remixes!
