I prefer his contributions to CSNY over a lot of his solo work, and I haven’t heard many of his more recent albums, but he has written some great stuff over his long career.
My own favourite of solo Neil? A Man Needs a Maid, which is a beautiful song. There’s a fragility in his voice that’s heartbreaking, and I particularly like the cellos/basses coming in at about 1:12.
