I mentioned this in the Brisbane thread. I had just read a Sunday Times article 2 days ago about his struggles with alcohol and depression. Very sad. A superb cricketer
Terribly sad. He was so good on his day. I don’t know how many tests he and Graham Thorpe played together – in my head they were contemporaries though Thorpe was actually a fair bit younger – but it’s hard to understand how we were as crap as we were in the 90s with those two in the middle order.
Fearless. Chris won a fortune backing him to play 50 tests
