I adore this song – shades of Tom Waits in his Asylum years…

The world doesn’t consist purely of the UK & US – if you look at their worldwide sales at some point between What’s The Story and Be Here Now, there’s a genuine case to make that they were the biggest band in th […]

Have to be honest, I got bored with NY half a dozen songs in and switched over to Charli XCX, who is fantastic! No pretence of a band playing, just her and some brilliant songs.

Never cared for Anohni either, but was surprisingly impressed with the two tracks I caught last night on the catch-up show. Both were first released about 10 years ago though…

There’s a rather good documentary on Disney+ called Sly Lives!, directed by Questlove.

Agreed @Bamber. – lots of great suggestions on these comps compiled by Tom Dunne himself:

Strong candidate for greatest Irish pop single ever, but not a UK hit…

I loved it – I wasn’t expecting much from it, but it’s one of my favourite movies of the year so far. The 4 leads are excellent, but Tim Key is amazing – an extremely funny and poignant performance.

A bonus 4hr episode dropped yesterday, covering The Tube rather than TOTP, but I think it might be Patreon only. Simon Price and David Stubbs joining Al on this one. Saving for an upcoming long journey.

Kate coincidentally is the guest on this week’s Adam Buxton podcast. I haven’t heard it yet but will do so over what’s left of the Easter weekend. Buckles is usually a very good interviewer, so looking forward to it.
