Music for the mind and body.

I was sad to see the end of Carl Corcoran’s ‘Blue of the Night’ show on Lyric FM – though I only caught it occasionally, Carl was a real master of seguing generally contemplative disparate music together (baroque, jazz, blues, ambient, singer-songwriter, modern art music…) in a way that made complete sense.
Hi Colin. Agree about “Blue of the night”. Great late night programming. “Mystery Train” was my portal to new music before the internet as was John’s previous show on TodayFM “The eclectic ballroom”.
Station also available on a Sky tellybox if you have one.
For a second there, I thought you were doing Bill & Tedspeak:
“Station! Also available on…”
Good listening. And it suits it’s new home on Lyric FM after 11 years in hibernation. John doesn’t try to pander to listener’s expectations – you may not like everything you hear but you are guaranteed to like something you weren’t previously aware of…I tend to be fairly conservative in my music purchases, so Mystery Train provides me with reggae, jazz and R&B that I wouldn’t normally hear.
