I find the Internet an endless source of Zappa-quality perverts presenting their deviations (and I use the term advisedly), and they can sometimes involve the kind of detail those of us who work in forensic mental health find very helpful for advising the court. This is something of a classic, and leads me to now suspect anyone with a pocket full of sugar lumps who doesn’t have a mystic gleam in their eye:

The stroke fan-fiction is also deeply disconcerting. Spock and Kirk, Ron and Harry, and (probably) Bodie and Doyle often emerge as rather different characters to that previously understood. Being immersed in this sort of thing at work has led me to lead a life of maximum conventionality and caution at home.
