So, farewell then the HCH, who will be touring into 2025. As noted in The Independent – “Now, after having performed over a thousand concerts across their more than five-decade career, the “Hotel California” rockers – Dan Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey – will embark on their “swan song”.”
It’s enough to bring a tear to an old sub-editor’s eye.
Apparently they’re going to be accompanied by “…long time friends and fellow rock group Steely Dan”
Hoping for branded steely knives at the merch desk!

How many farewell tours is it now?
Hell must have frozen over.
again
It’s been a long run.
They’ve surely taken this farewell tour nonsense to the limit by now
You’d think it this time of life, they would just take it easy
Most of us are sad about this.
Most of the original band have already gone. I can’t tell you why, but this tour seems pretty much like the last resort. They are far too busy being fabulous, but after the thrill has gone what’s left is really all just wasted time……
I thangyou.
It’s what happens when you think being centre of the universe is just business as usual – you get a frail grasp of the big picture. How long can fast company last? I don’t want to hear any more.
That’s just one last desperado throw of the dice
It would be great if they could entice Don Felder back, if only to keep the lawyers busy.
Ectoplasmic cameo?
Fecking OUTRAGEOUS. Count me with “The Big Lebowski” on this. I would not go see The Eagles if they were playing in Market Harborough (2 miles away) and I was given a free seat. I suppose if SD were “support”, i could leave after they finished.
I sawv them at Hyde Park last year and they were a mixed bag. Very very good in places and not so in others.
Joe Walsh provided the highlight with Rocky Mountain Way and the nadir with Life’s been good where his voice was truly awful
