What’s really clever is that somehow Moosey has arranged for your post, mine and all the bars on the right hand side of the page to be in italics too. Mod-baiting seems to be the favourite pastime this week.
I initially didn’t close the strong tag either, putting the entire page in bold as well as italics. It was rather fun but scared me a bit, as if the whole blog was shouting at me sarcastically. It’s a reaction, I suppose.
I saw this earlier, on the Facebook page of the Word blogger formerly known as Prestonia. Neither he nor I could whistle one of their tunes if you put a gun to our head either.
Pretty much all bands with any commercial success hang around for 20 years now. I remember when two decades was such astonishing longevity that it was used as a marketing gimmick for Status Quo’s 1+9+8+2 album, and even then they had to cheat and go back to their schoolboy days.
The first time I went to Cropredy was in 1987, Fairport’s 20th year, and the band who struck me as a bunch of old geezers weren’t yet 40.
I look at it this way….
But not until the end of their 2025 tour. Eh?
Black armbands for sale at the merch stand.
PS You’ve got the italics key stuck on, Moosey.

I reckon that Moosey didn’t close his italic tag, and now we’re all leaning to the right

Care for a wine gum?
Dry January is over, and why not
@fentonsteve hence my he-he-hilarious first comment.
Now it looks stupid. In a stupid-ass way.

Their name does sound like two people arranging a fight so maybe they’ve done well to last that long.
Is this in italics?
ooh it is.
And so is this
Now it isn’t.
Consarn it! I was looking forward to another list!
(IN-JOKE ALERT)
LIST.
*waits*
*waits*
I can remember when a band together 10 years was thought well past-it. Now they haven’t started.
s/b fixed now so italics no more…
Pity. I feel I have missed out.
I can put them back again … would need a sizeable bribe of course
Oh thanks. Do you want to draw a moustache on my face while you’re at it?
One Dirty Sanchez comin’ right up!
Twenty years at it and nobody knows who they are.
That horse got a very thorough flogging, didn’t it..
Nobody? Actually loads of people do. 4 gold albums, 2 UK #1#s. There’s plenty of music beyond the Afterword, thank god.
