@junior-wells. All holes are par 4. If you bust you score 7. Lowest score wins. That’s pretty much it I think.
There’s a €25 joining fee. You can pay in record tokens.
You must wear a shirt with a collar whilst playing and appropriate footwear (no thongs). No bags on the green and if you make a mess in a bunker clear it up yourself.
If you hit the women’s tee with your first stroke you have to play the next 3 holes sans trousers. If you hit Lodey with any stroke we all have to buy you a medium strength beer.
The wooden spoon (Spoonie) is Lodestones. He sometimes lets someone else have it for a month.

What is the etiquette regarding posting results while you Northern Hemisphere laggards are still on the first hole?
BTW. I got 4 on the first hole and 3 for the second- so that makes me I under par – yes?
Post when you done it. I think the etiquette is to not look at this thread until you have played the hole.
Yes Junes that does mean you’re 1 under par. Those of us in Aus and NZ tend to be first, so we don’t get the luxury of seeing other people’s attempts beforehand. However, I agree with @leedsboy – just play the game and then share.

That’s impressive after your first two shots….
Well, I took a leaf out of your book in terms of inspiration for my first word, and it served me well. Obviously, I can’t tell you what that was yet, or I’d have to shoot you.
So, I looked out the window and it was SNOWY. Bit of a risk only trying one vowel, and it missed. But there was the Y and hurrah it wasn’t at the end, ’cause we all hate words with Y at the end, don’t we.
I took a risky strategy of only one more vowel, but lots of popular consonants, and did YACHT. I had a C and a Y in the wrong place. Those popular Wordlewords of LYMPH, MYRRH and ABYSS were ruled out. I still needed a vowel, and once I plumped for an E, it was clear.

We had hole in ones a couple of weeks ago. We’re fine.
Then again, one of us went a long way out of bounds a couple of days ago and is leading the race for Spoonie. So he’s slightly less fine than the other one.
There is some consolation that after today, you are no longer leading the race for Spoonie.
