This is a lovely site to click on for a few relaxing seconds. It’s the view out of people’s windows from around the world – it’s a random selection so you might start with Prague and then get one from Scotland or Columbia or anywhere. There’s something about it that’s very human, even though you rarely see actual people – occasionally there’s someone walking in the street outside. But basically it’s the view from inside someone’s house, looking out a window. That’s it. I find myself drawn to it every day and keep the tab open in my browser.
OK back to work…

Good grief!! What a magnificent time waster! That’s my week off work sorted out!
Just what I needed – another excuse to say “Yeah, yeah, be with you in a mo”.
Cheers, Mousey
Thanks ! Very absorbing. There seem to be a lot of animals – cats and dogs (one blonde-haired canine seems to transmigrate across continents) – Geoffbadger in Halesowen has badgers in the garden….
Some are better than others. Mountains in rural France or Colombia are preferable to a narrow alleyway or a brick wall. My favourite is the Vermeer-like view in New Bedford, USA. I’ll post it on the AW FB page.
Dude looks out on the Great Pyramid. Excellent! Dude looks out on street of parked cars in the rain. Not so excellent.
Bristol was underwhelming. Who is going to put theirs up? HP have you got a view of the Mekong or just a narrow alleyway, half finished buildings and a maze of power lines and clotheslines?
From the deck, with reflection in glass doors behind to river. Small green square in centre is view out through the front door. Jungle on three sides, river on fourth.
Cool though I am confused by the human figures.
My advice – stay indoors. Or work with sheep.
I like to click on a view and try to guess where in the world it is.
I give myself one point if I get the continent and three if I get the city.
I just guessed New York – 3 points to me
Wish they were live! Took me a moment to figure out why it was pitch black in the middle of the night in Japan, but broad daylight in Singapore or NZ, for example. Anyway, what an interesting (mostly!) view of the world.
The background noises are interesting also. I just spent five minutes listening to what sounded like a fractious child and a big family row in Kythera, Greece. Should I call social services?
This is great. Forgive me for being stupid, or too lazy to read the FAQ on the site if there is one, but are these live webcams or just looped footage?
Looped, yer lazy sod
They’re live looped, though.
I KNEW that was the same dog walking by!
The winner so far is Paulina, Sydney Australia. Wow.
DON’T start big noting Sydney FFS.
Melbourne twat…
Don’t harsh the Mello.
I resemble that remark.
I don’t know how many videos are on the site, but I’ve had three films repeated.
Yeah, I started getting that after I clicked a few. Kind of spoils it a bit, doesn’t it?
Cheers @Mousey What a great site. Has anyone else got other websites worth wasting some time on(no not those sites!)?
I remember when I first started on the internet there was a site which just showed a live feed of a garden in California where there was a bubble machine just blowing bubbles in the wind 24/7.
We all know you can’t beat the originals.
You can regard the Cambridge University Computer lab coffee pot (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_Room_coffee_pot) as the demo version, it was auctioned off to the Spiegel Online where they installed a colour camera.
Warning: watching this is even more dull than listening to me.

Well there is this naked site. Naked Mole Rats.
https://nationalzoo.si.edu/webcams/naked-mole-rat-cam
Will you stop with this Naked Mole Rats thing you have, Hubes? Every damn thread, there you are, linking to Naked Mole Rats on the flimsiest of pretexts, as here, or none at all. I think I can speak for the Afterword in general when I say ENOUGH. We have been very patient. We have exchanged personal messages and spoken about this in private, but the time has come to suggest you seek help. This is NOT normal. We love you and want you to be well again.
HP, admit it you clicked on the link to watch the naked frolics.
After all who wouldn’t?
Visit a major city and drive around listening to the radio…
