For those of you in the UK they are playing the Albert Hall on June 22nd next year.
Presale starts 2 October @10am local time
Presale code: HOTSUN
General on sale starts 4 October @ 10am local
Also coming out in November is the Hot Sun/Cool shroud EP on physical formats.
I got a limited version on vinyl at Solid Sound festival in June, there was a competition to design the cover for the main physical release, it was won by a 3 yr old đ

@dai Iâm slightly disappointed by their choice of venue. Itâs been great watching them in the smaller halls like the Forum and Troxy. RAH will lack a bit of atmosphere and be distinctly pricier.
Will be a bit surprised if they fill it. Outside festivals they do play 3-4,000 capacity venues in North America, often multiple nights. But they are a bigger live attraction over here and I assume they prefer smaller venues in general, rather than arenas.
Tickets ÂŁ63 – ÂŁ140 each! Itâs not that long ago it was ÂŁ25 to see Wilco.
Worth every penny im(ns)ho
4 pro-shot songs from last year’s sensational Solid Sound set (Saturday night)
Thanks for sharing this. I had a dream last night that I went to see Wilco and I was allowed to play with Tweedy’s guitar pedals (one of which was kept in a cage). Bit miffed when the alarm went off.

I’ve just sat two tables down from Nels Cline in a nice pub near the RAH. I should point out that this definitely wasn’t a dream as Mrs Paws confirmed it was him. I didn’t say hello because it felt a bit rude. Incidentally, he was paying no attention to the test match that was playing on the TV.
Was expecting news of Sky Blue Sky expanded edition.
Oh well.
Sorry @SteveT Not really interesting news I guess.
Not really @pawsforthought as the hot sun/cool shroud cd has been available here for a while.
Enjoy the show tonight if anybody is going. Meanwhile another live album “Blue” was released to streaming services on Friday “Orange” was released a few weeks ago.
Thanks @dai it was a great gig. Here’s the uncut review, with set list-https://www.uncut.co.uk/reviews/live/wilco-royal-albert-hall-london-june-22-150244/
First time I’ve seen Wilco in a venue (as opposed to at a festival). Two hour set time was perhaps a little long for me, but no real complaints otherwise. I rather wish I was going to see them in Paris tonight.
Sounds awesome, which is of course no surprise. They are apparently doing longer shows some nights when they do 2 sets (no support band)
I kind of assumed that’s what we were going to get, but we had a 30 minute support set from Deep Sea Diver (Mini Paws rated them, bought a tee shirt). So, we got a 23 song set rather than two 15 song sets, which they did in Germany. I think we all went home happy.
New solo Tweedy album is apparently going to be a triple!

I look forward to that. I really rate his solo albums, especially Love is the King.
I went away on holiday the day after the show so never got to air my views on it.
I don’t like the venue, it lacks any intimacy, too big for most people to get a good view, too small to allow for a screen so those at the back can see the musicians faces. I thought the sound quality for the first couple of numbers was pretty poor but credit to the sound engineers that was sorted pretty quick and the band were soon sounding as good as they ever did. Now I’ve seen Wilco umpeenty times and I think they’ve played Impossible Germany every time so it was great to hear Nels varying his guitar solos on it, Bird without a Face is fast becoming a live favourite too and they were really on top form. Getting on a bit now I really do like a seat at a concert, I just wish it wasn’t at the RAH
