Just saw it on the supermarket’s shelves last night and got it. Didn’t even consider going to the website. For the sake of £2 I probably should have (especially as I’m not planning to read it until my week off). Oh well.
I am quite excited about this. Under normal circumstances this issue would make it to Canada next month sometime, however the book shops here are still trying to sell the Blondie issue (after being closed for months), Kraftwerk not having shown up yet. So I may order from the Uncut website and hope it gets here within a month or so, this assumes they haven’t massively hiked the shipping charges like amazon uk have (presumably because there are hardly any planes crossing the Atlantic at the moment).
Just a small point, I like Wilco (a few albums in my collection) but is there enough fans out there to make a viable mag? Beatles, Stones, The Who even Kraftwerk etc I get, they’ve had number ones, stadium tours and the person in the street would have heard of them. But Wilco? They must be counting on every Wilco buff to buy a copy.
How many do they print? 20 or 30K. I think most Wilco fans are on this side of the Atlantic, but issues are generally widely available over here. And anyway I don’t really care if it sells badly, just glad they have done one.
Wilco are quite a trend these days, for some reason. I quite like them but am not a fan.
I expect the publishers have done a bit of research and know that it’ll sell OK.
I liked Box Full of Letters of the debut but never really took to much else, hoping to have seen them at that newish Americana festival this year. But it were cancelled. Deerstalker? Something like that.

One copy in my local supermarket £10.99! Still bought it though.
But it’s only £8.99 from the Uncut website.

Its only £ 8.99 in WH Smiths too – I either got the last copy this am or they only had one.

Update, seems I got it for $21 (£12) with free shipping! Not bad.
It’s on Readly for those subscribers out there.

No criticism of them doing it but surprising that it’s happened at all. Let’s hope this means they will go off piste more often.

Reason being Jeff Tweedy is the best songwriter around and they are the finest live band on the planet! That’s my biased view anyway 😉
I’ll join you in that biased view.
Yep, me too. Tickets to their shows in the uk sell out pretty quickly.
So nice to be among friends.

Black Deer.
I had a ticket for that as well. Rolled it over to next year.
