Benjamin Myers is the author of “Cuddy,” a BRILLIANT novel about what St Cuthbert means to the North East of England. He also wrote “The Gallows Pole” which no less a director than Shane Meadows adapted for TV. I have yet to read his latest novel “Jesus Christ Kinski” about a notorious play starring the noted absolute nutter Klaus Kinski as Jesus Christ.
I say all this stuff to emphasise the credentials of the author of a very lengthy piece about Napalm Death’s one second long song “You Suffer.” It’s worth your time.

How much time? One second, perhaps?
I thought You Suffer was a bit long-winded, self-indugent (and proggy?).
I much preferred Mega-Armageddon Death by the Electro Hippies, which got straight to the point in a much more concise manner, during its 0.1 seconds length.
I’ve got this 12″ EP, which would have easily fitted on a 7″.

Difficult to maintain one’s concentration over the sheer length of time involved…
It’s a well written article if you like that kind of thing, but I’m not entirely sure Van Gogh painted The Potato Eaters in 1995?
But why?
Pour quoi? Pas qué.
The Gallows Pole was excellent but challenging.
This is something else entirely.
