And why have they made me fall in love with this song again.
It owes a great deal to the version by Beck in the film Eternal Spotless in a Sunshine Mind (or whatever) and has been covered by loads of artists, including the mighty Stackridge. It was written by their James Warren after all and has made him slightly rich in the process. God bless him.
This is a very recent live version by Beck.

Unfamiliar with this new version, otherwise I would have included here:

How could you miss this version by Baby D? It was also sampled by Marc et Claude on their #1 hit I Need Your Lovin’ (Like The Sunshine). I’m still with it daddio.
PS. I bookmarked your website a looong time ago. Well done.
Beach House – the band that The Crowded Boys could have been.
Truly one of the best pop songs ever written. I just need the Korgi’s original but this is nice all the same. I like her voice.
I can warmly recommend a listen through BH’s back catalogue. Suggestive, atmospheric dream pop.
Zebra
There are two of them Alex Scully and Victoria Legrand. She was born in France but grew up in the US. It’s often mentioned that she’s the niece of French film composer, Michel Legrand.
Thanks, KFD. One of the loveliest songs of the past 10 years. Nice to be reminded.
