We failed to say “Howayaboogaman” enough. It was a collective failure, and we’ve been punished for that. We need to be the blog of aspiration. Especially to people aspiring to be Geordies.

I too was concerned at his missing contributions but, as Junior says, he’s back and he’s fired up.

Stuck my head round the door and got jeered at a few days ago. Prefer it when the people jeering at me go by their real names so I will probably stick mostly to FB. Your book is excellent by the way.
I must have missed those posts. My jeering (or whatever it is) is, of course, wholly affectionate in nature! And remember, I’m not insulting you, I’m insulting the whole of Geordieland 😉
Anyway… glad you like the book. Two more virtually complete and out later this year. Plus a huge box set essay on British jazz circa 1970-71 currently underway. Now *there’s* a language to get one’s head around…

I think this was on a thread I started. I wanted to respond to a few comments on there but did not want to bump the thread back to the recently updated because of this.
Not a good advertisement for what the afterword is & stands for in my opinion so sorry this happened on that thread. If I could go back I would have made the OP a little clearer & not as open to debate as it was.
