I was born and bred in Norfolk (Great Yarmouth/Caister on Sea) and no doubt my medical notes will include the NFN note!
Aged 18 I left for University in Bradford and after graduating bought a house in Horsforth, near Leeds, and spent another happy 4 years there. I then moved to Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire for a new job and living in the town centre spent all of my mid to late twenties having great fun and enjoying career progression at the same time (I also met my missus and the mother of my two lovely kids).
In 1998 I moved with a work relocation package to my current residence 8 miles south west of Oxford. I have now lived in Oxfordshire for18 years.
So what? Well it got me thinking on which county I have lived in is my favourite and the answer has to be Norfolk, closely followed by West/North Yorkshire. Both areas (not West Yorkshire obviously) offer a great range of coastal and non-coastal areas of outstanding beauty that a land locked county can not offer in my opinion.
Norfolk or West/North Yorkshire…agree?
