…the different generations at work here. You’ve got Chet Atkins from the 40s to the 80s, the Everly Brothers from the 50s to the Noughties, and Mark Knopfler from the 70s to now.
What a thrill it must have been for Knopfler to work with those guys and have them play one of his songs.

50 years ago (fact check needed) I hated Dire Straits with the force of a Storm Force 200 (fact check needed) gale – his voice so obviously a wannabe Dylan right down to the Minnesota accent and falling cadence phrasing, the fact every bloody household in the UK had a copy of Brothers In Arms, yuk and double and quintuple yuk.
Fast forward and I bloody love Mr Knopler…. still hate Brothers In Arms mind, some prejudices are for life

I remember Los Indios Tabajaras well – Maria Elena was quite a big hit, and a gentle counterpart to the noise of Beatlemania.
My Dad introduced to Dire Straits with Making Movies. I’ve been a huge Knopfler fan ever since, and he’s never let me down live.
Chet Atkins was Tommy Emmanuel’s idol & greatest influence. This shows TE’s incredible use of harmonics.
