Well, obviously, Kentish hops should have prog-folk played to them.
I saw a Motörhead beer in a Wetherspoons yesterday (I didn’t buy it – the description was full of words like ‘hoppy’ and ‘citrus’, which sum up what is wrong with too much modern ale), and Robinsons of Stockport make Iron Maiden Trooper beer, so it seems the cask ale is the bevy of choice for metal. Speaking of metal, I saw today that Robinsons also make a beer called Pint of Thrones (‘Taste is coming!’)

Trooper is a fine ale, one of my favourites. I recall seeing a Northern Soul beer a few years ago, I forget the name.

Fairport had a bottled beer one year at Cropredy but I can’t remember which one. I have an empty bottle of it. It had a mock coat of arms with veni vidi imbibi on it. Can’t find it on t’internet will try a photo later.
It was 1987, my first Cropredy.
Odd to think that their being a twenty year old band made them seem ancient then, but at the end of May I’ll be at their 50th anniversary gig at Union Chapel.
