Yep – sounds really good.
And I’m delighted to see that that track is included on the 1 CD-compilation ” Lost And Found: Selections From The Lost Albums” – because that’s what I’ll be buying!
Yes, the mix is great – of course it’s great; it’s Bob Clearmountain – but even he can only mix what’s he’s given. The problem is that the production/arrangement has nothing going on except that dirgy wash of brass and string pads, so by necessity they are way too loud and just trundle along going nowhere. There’s nothing else happening until the fade-out, which is when it inexplicably starts to perk up.
A promising song that isn’t done justice. Which, after all, is why most outtakes are outtakes.
The best yet of the pre-releases from the soon to be released box set – lovely.

Me too (well the vinyl version). Have also ordered the full shebang from iTunes $60 instead of $300 for CD box set
Ordered the LP Box from Amazon Germany £230. Paid for with sales from unwanted physical music media.
I’ve not listened to any of the pre-releases I can wait.
Reminds me of Richard Hawley just higher.
It’s a lovely song but I never like the ones where there’s a horrible 80s synth keyboard pad. Sorry.
Didn’t really notice that, but I am not a musician
Oops missed edit window
Sounds like a 60s style production to me, not 80s and I think probably recorded around 2010
I thought sixties too
It’s a sound thing not a music thing. That static synth sound that runs through it. Tunnel of Love is full of it too, and Streets of Philadelphia.

Doesn’t bother me at all, I just hear a great song and an excellent vocal perforrnance
Good. I just don’t like that instrumentation, like some people don’t like flutes or whistling. Bruce with acoustic guitar I bet it’s fab.
