With so much bad news around, it is a great joy to come across a sunshine story. Our friends in the animal kingdom are certainly doing their best to entertain us.
Kangaroos spotted hopping around downtown Melbourne. Dolphins frolicking in the canals of Venice. Elks in the Systembolaget in Eskiltuna.
But surely this tale of the policia and the porcellini in Perugia must take the biscuit?
Some Albanian mafia wise guys buried a packet containing cocaine with a street value 22,000 USD in the forest near Arezzo. The perfect hiding place: the cops would never find it.
But then along came some wild boar snouting around for something tasty. They dug the packet up and scoffed the lot.
The gang members were arrested and as they were led away commented angrily: “We’d have got away with it if it hadn’t been for you meddling pigs.”
Anybody else got a touching story from the animal kingdom to share?
