Very tragic. It was headline news here even before the victims had been identified.
The police don’t seem to know yet how the accident happened.
Apparently an eye witness thinks they tried to beat the bridge before it lifted but didn’t make it.
Poor sods. The OP is exactly right, this should have been an adventure to remember.
Tribute to them before the Man City v Spurs game today.

Why? Why not? Fact is the manager was a `lifelong` MCFC supporter.
In that case, I’ll make sure my death is so spectacular that it makes headlines. I’ve always wanted to get a tribute at Goodison Park.
