This week we’ve been enjoying a boxset of the Ancient Roman sitcom, Plebs.
Witty scripts. Fine acting by a cast led by Tom Rosenthal, Joel Fry and Ryan Sampson. But the real stroke of genius for me is the use of a reggae soundtrack.
A simple, unexpected idea that really is the icing on the cake.
Any other examples of one small, imaginative touch that has transformed a TV show, film, book, album etc? into another league?
The use of a Police Call Box for the Tardis springs to mind.
