I really like Nige Tassell’s books. He always comes across as knowledgeable, engaging, and uses the right amount of dry humor. This should be another excellent addition to a great collection.
I would like to know what happened to Paddy McAloon. OK, there have been health issues, but 5 albums in the first 6 years, followed by 5 albums in last 36 years (and none for 13). He was often bragging in the music press in the early days about how much material he had ready to go with numerous albums recorded, but not released.
I’ve always wondered that. With so much material squirreled away he could surely have put something out every few years couldn’t he? Unless he doesn’t think they’re any good of course…
In recent interviews for his tours, Martin McAloon has often said words to the effect of “Paddy’s fine and sends his love” which I hope is still accurate.
Nige Tassell, of “Whatever Happened to the C86 Kids?” fame, should ensure it will be a good read.

It sounds very promising.
Does Nige Tassell ever sleep?
